He was surprised when a vehicle finally pulled over to pick him up. Hi. My name is Robert. I used to read a lot when I was a kid and then got too caught up in living and stopped reading. So one day when it was coming up to New Years day I started thinking about resolutions, which I had never really bought into, but something got triggered in me so I made a vow to read 20 books in the coming year, 10 fiction and 10 non fiction. It turned into and obsession and at this point in my life I can easily say that I average 300 to 400 books a year, plus short stories on this site. I thought if I am that good a reader maybe I can try writing too. I have written one story so far that I actually published to this site, and nobody had read it yet, but it was such a freeing and cathartic experience that I am going to continue writing stories for this site, even if nobody else reads them. I gives me much pleasure and helps to distract me from what has been a "bad" couple of years. Thanks to all the other aspiring writers out there for sharing.
