The alarm didn’t wake me up this time around. The smell did. It was fishy, potently so.  I peel my eyes open, yawning in the process and stretching out my achy muscles.  I’m not in my bed. I clearly slept on the floor. The carpet beige and worn out.  I try to remember how I got here, but nothing’s coming up.
