“My lover slept with my mother” was playing on an old episode of Jerry Springer and it was 91 degrees in the shade. The kids next door were outside running through a sprinkler, screaming as they chased each other into the spray. But at least I wasn’t at work, and I had cold beer. I was basically a happy guy.
