The apartment had been nice at one point, trendy, even. The pink and blue geometric linoleum in the kitchen and dining nook was of its time. Early nineties, if she had to guess. Now, the pinks looked like browns and the blues like more brown. A brassy, frosted-glass light fixture hung low at her left, waiting for a table. The kitchen wasn’t bad.
