The house was unusually quiet that afternoon. That was a rare occurrence given fourteen people lived here, including two parents and twelve children. It was a brutally cold Saturday afternoon in mid-January. As was the case every Saturday, we younger siblings loved to go outside and play, building forts and snowmen, snow dogs occasionally.
