Jenny The monitors beep around me. I can't see anything, but I hear voices. Crying. I hear crying. I struggle to open my eyes, but they are glued shut. I can hear my parents. I feel like I'm drowning in my own body. I try to lift my arm, to say “Hey! I’m right here!” but my arm feels like it weighs a thousand pounds. I think back to how I even got here in the first place.
