Jeremy peddled down long dark country roads illuminated only by the light of a cell phone strapped to the front of his bicycle. This last year had been the worst in his life. It began with a layoff from his job in the spring sending him into a mountain of debt and by the end of the summer, he lost custody of his daughter, Maddie.
