The bright light of the television screen fills the dimly lit living room. I’m watching Cartoon Network, and my mom is sitting 6 feet away from me. I’m perfectly still; she doesn’t know it’s past my bedtime. I’m hoping I can get the most out of this moment, I hate sleeping. My mom looks up from her phone, she looks at the TV, then the clock.
