From the open window, Stanley Damson watched the world awaken. Cool, crisp air flooded the kitchen, and it energised him. He liked this time of day best, when the 7am sunshine stirred the world for its morning coffee appointment. The sifting breeze waited among the branches, conducting a gum leaf percussion which squeezed through the fly screen.
