Hi, I’m Melinda Chopik. I come from a nursing background and spent years writing policy and procedure manuals. The kind of documents most people skim unless something goes terribly wrong. I’ve always loved research and probably would’ve stayed in school forever if someone hadn’t eventually handed me a diploma. Writing has become both a creative outlet and a way to process the world around me. I’ve been working on a novel for the past few years, and recently started submitting short stories to grow as a writer, experiment with new genres, and learn from others. I’m endlessly curious, a little sentimental, and always up for a challenge — especially the kind that begins with a blinking cursor and a blank page.
