The gloomy drizzle that kept her neighbors tucked inside, sniffling by their fireplaces, was the same gloomy drizzle that put Beatrice in the mood for a long walk. Approaching her closet like an old friend, she carefully plucked out a sweater that would do nicely for the occasion. It was an exceptionally chunky sweater with a high neckline cut like a tea cozy.
