The weather had been unseasonably cold and damp here in Colorado. “Three hundred days of sun my ass!” I cursed under my breath as I reached for the door, opening it hastily. The warm air of the pub hit my face like a rogue wave, instantly fogging my glasses, as if I were looking through a plastic bag.  I removed my glasses – wiping them clean – then replaced them on the bridge of my nose.
