Surfs Up! DECEMBER 24, 1992; it was early Christmas Eve morning. Waking up at 3:30 a.m. on a cold winter morning with plans to take out my boat in sub-freezing temperatures would sound absurd to most people unless you were crazy, fearless, or a duck hunter.
