The light stung my eyes as it burnt its way into my head. I tried blinking my vision clear. Nope, not possible, the light source was a million-watt light bulb inches from my face. "WHERE IS IT?" The 5:15 train was packed, it always was. All the seats were taken, they always were. Matt had been sitting in one of the extremely rare seats but had given it up for a pregnant lady who had gotten on at the last stop and was clearly struggling. No one else had moved. Hey, I'm 38 and from the North East of Scotland. Ive written and published (via amazon/kindle) 3 kids books featuring my daughter's name and 1 very sweary book of poems. Biggest problem is my grammar as you can probably notice. Trying this in an attempt to improve my writing and hopefully build my confidence in my writing.
