(Trigger warning: abuse, assault, suicide) Dear diary,   It's my birthday today! I'm turning fourteen  years old, and I just started high school this year. Mom said she was going to take me out for ice-cream but when I tried to wake her up this morning she said she had a headache. I should have known she wasn't going to get out of bed.
