  Travis looked up at a wide blue universe of stars. He had seen this beautiful scene many times on cool nights, walking through the wheat fields of Arkansas. But this time it was a little different. Because in addition to stars, he could also see the blue crescent of Earth. He never dreamed that one day, he would be standing on the moon.     He looked down at his white leather cowboy boots that seemed to almost glow. He couldn't tell what was brighter, his shoes or the cratere...

April 6, 2020I sit here in my bed joined by an uneasy feeling. I have the feeling that i'm being watched. What feeds my unusual paranoia? I have no idea. I go to the bathroom mirror, no psycho appears jumping from the shower with a butcher knife. I just see the blood shot eyes of a dude that can't sleep. I look out my window ,and no dark figure stands in a trench coat and hat looking up at me. I just see a grey alley cat, tail end sticking out of a garbage can. And when I peak through my front door keyhole, I don't see a crazed eye ball look...

Hello my name is Mac Thomas and I am from Camden, N.J. I took a creative writing course during my second year in college. I loved it. But my degree is in Fine Art so its been a while since I have written a short story. But I enjoyed writing it and hope you enjoy reading it.
