“Dammit!” The Hero screamed, punching the resilient wall with his fist. “I almost had her! I almost had her!” I didn’t flinch. The poor wall was peeling and cracked, bruised and broken, loose sediment falling off it with each forceful blow but it never gave way. The room shook, almost as if it were trembling in fear.
