John made it through life flying under the radar. He wore nondescript clothes, kept his hair neat and trim, and had an agreeable, if quiet, disposition. It wouldn’t be fair to say that everyone liked him, but no one hated him either.  He was fully aware that he didn’t leave an impression on people.
