I just write sometimes.........
Hello, my name is Lianiry, or Lee-ah-nee-dee, I am a young adult working in the fast food industry. I am also a believer in Jesus Christ, I am here for the broken and the needy, hence my name.......Lia-needy.....get it? It's Spanish- okay, nevermind.
I've always been very creative and had a very dramatic imagination, especially as a child. My childhood dream was to become an author and nothing else. I remember all the other kids wanting to be engineers, chefs, teachers, singers, actors, all sorts of stuff, but I've never heard anybody that just wanted to write. Wanted to create stories and share them with people.
Although, I've never actually worked towards that dream, especially when I found out the actual work needed in creating a book that will actually sell, so much money goes into making a book if you want to do it right. So, I never actually given it a try....yet.
At the moment I'm just worrying about my current financial situation and writing here and there, because I can easily imagine any scenario in my mind but elongating it can be tricky, I can imagine all kinds of things but putting it together is difficult. I can think of different ideas but I havent been able to stick to one yet.
For now I'm doing little prompts to build my writing skills, but by the end if 2025 hopefully I'm working towards an actual draft of something, even if my first book doesn't sell, it's the experience that will help me get better. THAT, I understand, to not put too much of a high expectation on your first try on anything. Whether it's your first book, or your first youtube video or blog post, whatever it is. You are a *new* seller/owner/influencer and can't expect herds of people to support you, just because. Things take time. Good Quality things take time.
That's probably why a lot of people give up on certain dreams or goals. They want the results immediately and don't want to put actual work into them. The best companies we know today are on their 25th, 50th, 100th anniversary, etc. They didn't become successful right away. If you research any company, you may be able to find out how they started is completely different from how they ended up being today.
FOR EXAMPLE, Nintendo used to just be selling like hanafuda playing cards before it went into video games and bam, from the tiny or old retro video games to their expensive popular switches today. A long journey that thousands, no millions of people are part of because they tried and didn't give up.
I'm not behind in life, I'm right where Jesus needs me to be. Present. Not thinking about the past or the future. Focusing on His presence for His peace will re-center me if I ever go in the wrong direction.
