Waves of long green leaves tumbled down to the arbor path on both sides; leaving only enough room to walk single file. The blue flowers sticking up among them were the size of two fists put together waving on long stems. They gave the feel of a watery existence. This story is about a teenager. Today it would be unheard of to let a boy of fifteen to take a boat out for an extended trip of four or five days in the open ocean. I am a little old lady from Pasadena. I have given up the hustle bustle of Southern California and moved to a little yellow house in North Carolina. The town has a cutesy name and shots up the New Year with a prayer of goodwill and black powder. It is to scar away all things evil and bring good will. This goes on for eighteen hours. I write mostly fantasy fiction sagas. My short stories could be about anything. Some I have written years ago and one just now.
