“Family Portrait” by Laurie Molnar

The artist ran a little late, but we were all perfectly placed in the drawing room. My mother had made a big fuss over everything being spotless. Every few minutes or so, she would get up from the couch and re-adjust a painting, or make sure the tea set was centered perfectly on the glass coffee table.
