Must. Keep. Moving. My body wants to shut down until it can fully regenerate. One foot is crushed and I think my arm is broken. But there is no time. The soldiers shuffle down the alley, their guns darting back and forth as they pass doorways and stairwells. They pass my hiding place beneath a stack of cardboard boxes without detecting me.
