The moonlight outside the window filtered through empty tree branches into his yard, and Joe watched carefully as if the occasional snowflakes that were falling were of cosmic importance. Maybe they were… after this evening’s events, for all he knew, they may be. He held the bottle of Woodford Reserve, the best whiskey he had ever heard tried, like it also offered answers to the crumbling paradigm of his worldview.
