Abby has to use a stool to climb into bed with me. She puts her chubby hands on my cheeks, her blonde ringlets falling into her blue eyes. “My mommy.” “My baby,” I say. She wants snuggles, so I pull her close. When I glance at it, the clock has only ticked forward six minutes.
