We were understaffed, overworked, and underpaid… just like every other wage slave in America. Difference is, about a hundred years ago some doof in New York thought it would be a bright idea to slap the phrase “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” on the front of the main office.
