There I stood, in a whale of a coat, trying to stay warm in this wintry weather. In front of me laid a lifeless corpse that lit up by the moon’s dazzling rays. As I starred at the most horrific scene that I had come across, I knew that whoever butchered this innocent soul was truly a merciless human being. I am a 16 year old boy who lives in the suburbs of Houston. I have never written a story for a contest, so this is my first time. My fingers are crossed. I am hoping to be able to advance to the 4,000 dollar contest with this prize money.
