Author bio

Jörgen is a writer and laboratory diagnostician from Gouda, the Netherlands. Born in 1973, I grew up in Den Helder, surrounded by the sea and the distinct dynamics of a naval garrison town. As the son of a seafaring naval officer, and with a lifelong, nagging sense of being different in many aspects of life, these experiences subtly shape my writing. He holds a master’s degree in chemistry and a PhD in medicine from the University of Amsterdam. After 30 years immersed in scientific research—publishing over 80 peer-reviewed articles and contributing to medical laboratory handbooks—he now brings that same precision to his fiction. It is time to share the stories and characters that have long lived inside his head. Jörgen is currently working on his debut novel, Touch, Pause, Engage.
