A shrill whistle came from the kitchen; the kettle was ready.  “Are you sure you want to do this?” asked Nancy. She looked at Tim, eyes filled with concern, but her face full of understanding. “Yes, I’m sure,” said Tim.  “Okay,” Nancy said, “I’ll be right here.
