Jewel Storm is a passionate LGBT and mental health activist, proudly married to a woman, and deeply committed to fostering a sense of safety and support for those in need. As a foster mom, Jewel has helped 12 children find temporary homes, offering them comfort and stability during difficult transitions. Having experienced the foster system herself at the age of five, she understands the challenges of finding a loving temporary home. This personal connection drives her dedication to providing a safe haven for children until they can reunite with their families. Currently, Jewel is a full-time foster mom to her 7-year-old sister, stepping in while her mother undergoes a year-long inpatient therapy program after experiencing traumatic events. This role has further fueled her empathy and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Jewel’s passion for storytelling began at the age of seven. What started as an outlet to express herself quickly became a source of joy and fulfillment. By the third grade, her talent was evident—she was reading her stories to classmates of all ages, even captivating her school principal. Writing has always been her way to feel alive and connected, allowing her to create narratives that reflect not only her personal experiences but also the struggles and triumphs of others. For Jewel, storytelling is more than a passion—it’s a means to inspire, heal, and empower those who need to feel heard.
