Kimberly West was a woman of rituals. One of these rituals was a weekly meeting with a friend. Part of this ritual was making sure she had the essential materials. Kimberly went into the pastel pink flower shop. When she opened the door, a tiny bell tinkled sweetly. The kind old lady smiled at her, and asked softly, “The usual?” Kimberly simply nodded somberly.
