The world shook. Wrenched from sleep, my eyes snapped open and I looked around. The room was unfamiliar, and I didn’t know how I’d gotten there. There wasn’t a whole lot to it, frankly. All I saw were three walls, a ceiling and a floor, all bright white. It wasn’t clear where the light was coming from, but there was no lack of it.  Then the world shook again, but this time I saw the one who was shaking it, or, more accurately, me. “I said, why won’t you talk to me?!” the young boy yelled, from just over my left shoulder....

Author bio

There's something to be said for getting started on a dream late in life. When you learn what that is, let me know. I've always loved writing, and still have a book I wrote for a school project when I was around 10. I'm now 58, and the best I've done is 50+ papers for my Management degree (also obtained late in life). I have written 2 unpublished short stories that I'm proud of. And now an 82k word sci-fil novel for which I'm trying to obtain a literary agent.
