The front gate of La Giraldilla was about what I expected after glimpsing it in the worn-out pamphlet given to me by Papá, right before he passed. This was it. There was no turning back.  La Giraldilla was this old-fashioned apartment building in Hialeah, Florida. I finally took my father’s advice and moved.
