As I swing my eyes towards the clear blue skies, I realise that the Moon is waning fast. By the time the Sun sets, the tides will push hard towards the island. I shudder with fear. “Damn it, Vingt-Deux, do we have to buy you another set of replacement gears?” The sarcasm in Mars’ voice echoes across the metal-concrete of the island.  I turn to address her. “Save it.
