Monday I left them a letter, so they’ll know why I’m going. I didn’t tell them where, though, so they won’t be able to follow me. I first planned on just walking the whole way, but, once my original enthusiasm for the idea had worn down a bit, and once I started to get hungry, I stopped by the side of the road and held out my thumb.
