It starts the day I choose to open my curtains.  It seems silly, me regularly leaving them drawn, but with my second-floor room looking over the street, I never felt like risking neglecting to close them and then...changing clothes, or something. The other window looks over our side yard, leading to the house next to us, and after noticing the window right across from mine, I sure wasn’t going to risk a neighbor seeing me in my one private place.
