She was dead or would be dead very soon. Nora had laid the groundwork, dropping hints to neighbours, passing comments to the doctor and to family of course. Nothing too obvious. Letting them drag it out of her about her concern: that her mother was starting to ‘ramble’, that she was not taking her pills right, that she had to be reminded to take them and to be watched like a hawk to make sure she did. Helen Broderick was born, reared and now lives in county Kerry, Ireland. She comes from a long tradition of storytellers in her family. She is a member of Listowel Just Write writing group and Writer Ink writing group. She has been published in four short story and poem collections and won prizes for her writing. She had a degree in Marketing and MA in Screenwriting. She loves to write entertaining stories and take the reader on adventures into exciting worlds full of interesting characters.
