I think I died in a car crash. And I say “think” because I do not dare to express much certainty. It is the safest word, the truest word I can find. It’s like seeing it all played out through a blurry lens; I am in the dream, and I see myself, but I cannot do anything to stop what happens next.  In the dream, I’m a kid again.
