Redemption

Lani leaped up in a swift arc and sliced quickly down, aiming precisely for a blow. She was a good apprentice. Fast and well-trained. But quite the rash thinker. Enzo ducked out of the way and aimed with his own sword, a look of disapproval on his face. The swords twirled together, beautiful and dangerous all at once. Lani grit her teeth and swung her wrist down, but Enzo leaped up with a fierce blow and her sword flew out of her hand with a piercing shriek, landing on the other side of the courtyard. Finn cheered from where he was watching....
