“Andreas: The Man in the Walls” by Erica Abbett

(Author's Note: I heard this story from a guide at the Fortress Hohensalzburg. Crazy at it sounds, she said a man named Andreas literally lived inside the castle's walls! He would tend the fires, and this way, the royals never had to see him.
