The 1990 Luzon quake struck the island of Luzon in the Philippines at 4:26 p.m. on July 16 (PDT). 3:26 p.m. (PST) with an expected second greatness of 7.8 and a most extreme Mercalli power of IX (Violent) and created a 125 km-long ground burst that extended from Dingalan, Aurora to Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija.
