There I was, about to reach the surface. I swam as fast as I possibly could but my fin was tiring out. I thought I lost them. My head came out of the water and I breathed in the air, looking at the green-ness that I saw ahead. I needed to go to the shore though, or else they may just catch up to me. Yesterday, I was assigned to pick another human life for our Queen so she could drown them with a mesmalistic song. This would be my first time picking a human.
