His mother had raised him to appreciate the sky.  When he had been young, he remembered her taking him to the edge of the Mass where the muggy wind would brush his face as it peeled back the grey clouds and they could catch a glimpse of the murky blue. A figure in a dark grey coat bolted out of the shadows and into the alleyway. It was a damp night, a fog parading the streets after that morning’s heavy dose of rain. Small droplets of water dew dotted the grey coat, shimmering in the flickering light of the streetlamp.         Those first few weeks had been the best. Free from work and my bank account stable, I was left with absolutely nothing to do but relax. Author bio

I remember the first book I'd ever read on my own. Instead of taking a nap like all of the other kindergarteners who couldn't read yet, I grabbed a copy of "Biscuit Goes to School" and nestled it down in a beanbag. Years later, I am now a serial reader and have slowly been building my writing skill set in between books. I come from the state that gave the world William Faulkner and Eudora Welty and hope that my stories will someday earn a place on the dusty shelves that inhabit the world's libraries.
