Author bio

Growing up in a small town in Washington State, my hero was Pippy Longstockings. I was enchanted with adventures, having them and reading about this. From an early age I wanted to be a writer, but didn't feel I had the skills. Now, as I approach my 60th year on this wonderful earth, I realize that I am a writer. Maybe a good one. Maybe just a mediocre one. But I can turn a phrase and weave a story. When I greet the sun each morning, I'm going to put a word or two on paper and see what kind of adventure can be made. My years working in the field of social justice has compelled me to do what I can to ease the suffering of others. In this spirit, some of my writing is intended to provide tools that others may find helpful in their healing journeys. Finally, I love to cook and eat. It just wouldn't be neighborly of me to not share a good recipe now and then.
