I am a retired computer consultant now writing fiction. I am hoping to get help with my writing here at Reedsy, including the chance to see other people's work and to learn from it. I am writing a book called "The Bulgarian Bartender." Here is what it's about: It’s Atomic Blonde meets Joe Dirt! What does it take to walk into the jaws of danger to rescue a friend? It takes strength. The women of rural Midwest America are strong. Does anyone realize how strong? It looks like a couple of foul-mouthed, wisecracking country women are going to have to kick some butt! Tiff and Angie are best friends in Mount Miffsberg, Ohio. Tiff is a stripper with street smarts and Angie a martial arts instructor and a welder. Suddenly their beloved but wild friend Kaylee goes missing. Kaylee’s new boyfriend takes her on a vacation to Bulgaria to “meet his family” and that is the last they hear from her. Getting no help from the American or Bulgarian government, Tiff and Angie determine to find their dear friend by themselves, which means going to Bulgaria to try to bring her back. The women get help from strangers along the way, but are spotted and hunted by the Bulgarian mafia and other criminals who are determined to stop them from finding and rescuing Kaylee, who is in real danger.
