The sun beat down on the workers. Its rays burning their skin. A man pulled down his sombrero, a woman pulled her child near. A girl was working at the far reaches of the vineyard. A caterpillar was crawling up her leg. She gently picked it up and placed it on one of the nearby leaves.“Go to freedom,” she whispered to it, “Escape from the vineyard.”The caterpillar, as if it understood what the girl had said, started to crawl away.
