Dan Tamblyn recently retired from a long, entirely undistinguished career in business that he now considers 47 years of character research and a fertile source of backstory.
He writes about small towns, families, friendships, politics and the workplace, and all the joyous dysfunction that arises when those worlds collide.
He has had one piece of short fiction; "We are Not Coastal Elites" published in The Spadina Literary Review. His story "Old Friends" is currently shortlisted for the 2025 Penguin Random House Canada Student Fiction award.
A proud Canadian, he loves the idea of his neighbor to the south but worries about her soul. He divides his time between Toronto and Siesta Key, Florida.
