She fidgeted with the white invitation, tracing its edges every time she seemed to have a troubling thought. Anxiety isn’t something I would ever associate with her; she’s more of a social butterfly-something I both love and resent. I wanted to rub her arm reassuringly, but she didn’t give me any sign that it would be proper. Although, she flew me across the country for this. Just the two of us.
