TW: Mental health, gore, violence, grief Fan blades are whirring above my head and blowing cool air onto my face, the smell of manure is drafting in the open window from the farm down the road, and the sound of your voice is croaking, “my beloved.” I glance over to the pillow beside me and, to my horror, see you staring at me wide-eyed, with blood pouring from your mouth.
