Colin Smith is a career educator, originally from the state of Idaho, now working in Ohio and Kentucky. With degrees in education and history, and endorsements in social sciences, mathematics, and English language arts, he has taught a variety of courses and grade levels over the years. A world traveler, Colin has summited Mt. Fuji and explored the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum. An endurance athlete, Colin has also run multiple marathons and ultramarathons. Achieving new running accomplishments is a yearly summer ambition. He is also a self-proclaimed cinephile. Colin worked 4 years at Blockbuster Video of Twin Falls, Idaho and watched thousands of movies during that time. While his viewing pace has slowed down, he still enjoys watching movies often and discussing them with friends (and students when appropriate).
Colin has been married for over 2 decades and is the father of four boys. His wife and children are an ultimate source of joy. Together they all enjoy playing sports and board games, watching movies and TV, and exploring new places.
Colin is also a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His recent writing demonstrates the faith and inspiration he draws from this association.
Colin's last passion is writing. He has authored multiple books and short stories. His first self-published book, The Gospel According to Shakespeare: Book I - Macbeth, is available for sale on Amazon. Get a copy here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F282JTV9?scrlybrkr=44de73d3
