Write a story that ends with one character waiting for the arrival of another.It was near 4 oʻclock and the last bus back to Kona was about to leave Hilo when Kalani Brewster saw his old shipmate Mathew across from the pier bus stop. “Hey Crooked Face”, Brewster yelled at the tanned, tall guy wearing a pair of beat-up slippers dressed in old navy blue surf shorts and a yellow torn JC Pennyʻs crew tank top - who curiously stared back across the pier towards the Hilo city bus stop.“Yea you, Crooked Face”, Brewster yelled again as the laky surf...

Author bio

Clifford P. Kapono was born in Honolulu, Hawaii TH, to Hawaiian, French, Scottish parents, grew up in San Fransisco, California, and professionally returned to Hawaii in 1985. He traveled Asia and the South Pacific as a VP for a Fortune 100 electronic communication company exhaustively with a keen interest for native people in his early years. His under graduate work was done at San Francisco State University, graduate school at Tuck at Dartmouth College and post graduate work at Krasnoyarsk State University. His first book, "Historical Photos of Honolulu," won the Hawaii Historical Society Preservation Award In 2009. He has taught at public and private schools on the Big Island of Hawaii while pursuing his passion for improving healthcare with the local native Hawaiian Community.
